A leading British scientist, astrophysicist Stephen Hawking said that the aliens almost certainly exist, but that humans should avoid contact with them. In a television series for Discovery Channel, Professor Hawking said it was perfectly rational to assume that intelligent life exists elsewhere. However, he warned that "aliens" or aliens could possibly make a foray into the soil to provide resources and then leave. The scientist added that if aliens visit our planet, the result would be similar to when Christopher Columbus arrived in America, meeting in which he said, the Native Americans were not the most benefit. The teacher thinks that instead of trying to actively communicate with alien beings, humans should do everything possible to avoid contact. Hawking explained, "we just have to watch ourselves to realize how intelligent body can turn into something we would not know." In the past they have sent space probes containing information about how we where humans and our planet. Radio broadcasts have also been launched into space hoping to be picked up by any alien civilization. Professor Hawking said: "To my mathematical brain, the numbers just make me believe that the existence of aliens is perfectly possible."
